Scout Vannoy
Reporter
Students at Cody High School experienced Native American culture Friday May 8th,Wyoming Native American day. The St. Labre Indian Catholic High School performed, various Native American dances, at Wynona Thompson. The dancers demonstrated Jingle Dress, Fancy Shawl, Grass, Cloth, and finished with a round dance incorporating the student body. Cody High School’s principal, Mr. Bart Bailey, organized the event. Bailey was St. Labre’s principal for seven years before coming to Cody. The Labre dancers were able to share and commemorate cultures of their individual tribes.
